I believe that my first professional achievement was the first project I handled on my own. It was a [Company 1] launch, their biggest that year, and it was challenging for me to manage our biggest client at that time. They are a very busy business, lunches happening all the time and projects being developed always against the clock. I managed the creative and production teams so that we finished the launch on time and within the budget. It was after this project that I got promoted to Account Executive.
The second achievement was getting my second Account Assistant. It was for me the recognition of the way I had managed my first Assistant and it also meant that I was trusted to manage a bigger team and more clients. I found it a very rewarding experience, being able to pass on my experience, learning to trust someone else with my projects, delegating and it brought me time to get more involved in the strategic aspects of the services we provide our clients.
Finally, a few months ago I had my first pitch. Having total responsibility over this project was challenging, but in a different way. It was completely new for me, because I had to prepare the strategy, managing the creative and media team to prepare their own, and do that for a prospective client and a business that I barely knew. Working for an established client has some security added, because you know the client and over time you build a relationship that makes the job easier. This time it was about impressing a client we barely knew. It was a very intense week. It felt like our senses were sharper than ever. And we won. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences for my team and me.
